This will connect the Grays Ferry Crescent Trail to the
new Bartram's Mile via a new bridge constructed with portions of an old abandoned swing bridge. Currently, there is no pedestrian-friendly, off-road trail route connecting the west and east banks. This project has been in the works for years, but has hit some snags and red tape. It finally received Federal approval on June 30, so bids will be out by early August. Following that, construction of the actual bridge should take place by the end of 2017.
